B.A. in Education, Sociology and Psychology from Clemson University, Clemson, SC
M.Ed. in Education from Southern Wesleyan University, Central, SC
Ed.D. in Leadership and Learning in Organizations from Peabody College of Education at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, TN
Leslie is originally from Charleston, SC. She is a first-generation college graduate. After graduating from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Education, she taught middle school for eleven years. Not yet finished pursuing education, she returned to college twice over the next ten years to earn a master's in education from Southern Wesleyan and then a Doctorate in Leadership and Learning from Vanderbilt University's Peabody College of Education. She is a co-author of over twenty-five manuscripts focusing on curriculum development, learning healthcare systems, professional development, and spaced education for anesthesiology providers. She has taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in community colleges and public and private university settings.
Leslie currently lives in Franklin, TN, with her husband Dean and boys, Stone and Sterling both are college students. She loves watching crime documentaries, bird watching, college football, and traveling. Her favorite vacation spot is the Amalfi Coast. She loves all critters and has a host of squirrels, possums and raccoons that frequent her yard. When she is not teaching, you can find her on the front porch swing befriending wildlife and wishing she had a pet goat.
I am obsessed with goats and would have them as pets if my husband would let me!
The last book I read was The Count of Monte Cristo, at the urging of my youngest son who just read it and loved it.
If I was not teaching as a career, I would be involved in animal rescue and fostering.
